I spent many hours with my Memaw learning to cook in her kitchen, learning to garden in her backyard garden and learning to fish at Navarro Mills Lake. My grandmother loved Jesus and she loved her family. There was nothing more important to her than her family and she made every effort to keep her family close to her and close to each other, even if it drove us crazy.
My grandmother taught me so many things about life, about family and about caring for others. She is the name sake of my firstborn and she will forever and always be near and dear to my heart. I miss her dearly, but I am so bless to have been able to call her Memaw for 35 years of my life.

So sorry for your loss, Melissa! I remember hearing stories of Memaw, and your love for her was obvious. You ever share the same beautiful smile!
