July 2016

No wonder I never get anything done....
We had our first ER trip in July.  Olivia was playing in our friends' back yard in their baby pool, when Evie slipped and fell on her.  She did something weird to her elbow and wouldn't use her arm.  Oh, and she wouldn't stop screaming her head off.  So, I call Dad, rush home and we check her out and decide it's ER worthy because she wouldn't calm down and use her arm.  Turns out, her sweet little elbow was simply dislocated.  She actually popped it back into place in the waiting room.  This is her dancing around the exam room....making me feel like a first-time mom.  Glad it was not anything serious though!
 Happy Happy Painting.
 Doing some shopping.
I. See. You.
I love her face in this picture.  I told her if she smiled, we would go see her friend Natalie.  So she immediately starts looking for "Na-ne".
 Three little girls.
One little patriotic dress.
Be still my heart....
 Happy Independence Day 2016
Having some fun at the park, on a hot July day.
I took them to the mall because it was too hot to do anything else.  So they rode the carousel.  At the end I told them to stand next to each other and act like they love each other.  I don't see much love in this picture...
Water Day fun at summer school.
We met up with Mawmaw, Pawpaw and Aunt Sandy for a fun weekend in Abilene.
We visited the zoo!
Watching the baby flamingos.
Olivia's turn on the carousel.
It was hot,
but it was fun!
At the last minute, we decided to go to Junior High camp in Glorietta, NM.  The girls had a lot of fun.
Having fun with the switch face app on the phone.

 Hiking with mom.
Mavery found a baby lizard and played with it for a whole afternoon.  She made it a home and gave it food.  So cute...
 Play ground time.
 Rocking the shades!
Daddy took the older two on a hike to this really cool tree house.
I think they had fun, but I think it was lot of work!

We also spent a lot of time at the neighborhood pool this summer.  It was very nice having this little gem just down the street!
A snuggly end to a good hot month of July!

Mavery's 5th Birthday!

Mavery turned 5 this year!  We were in San Antonio for her actual birthday on June 8th.  So, we had to have some cake.  Yum!
Maves chose to have her birthday party at the Pottery.  We had some fun painting!
Evie and Ellie painting their masterpieces.

Little Miss Natalie painting her bear.
Enjoying some snacks.
Birthday Girl!
Make a wish!

Presents, their favorite part!
Mavery put her had print right next to Evie's.  Sweet sisters!
Mavery is all about being 5 years old.  She's excited about kindergarten.  She's excited about being at the same school as Evie.  I love seeing her individual little personality develop.  She is the laid-back child that likes to be at home and likes to be with her family.  But she also loves her friends at church and school.  Mavery loves to color and draw.  She loves to sing and hum and make up her own songs.  We love her sweet spirit, her spunk and her creativity.  My favorite thing from the past year is the dinner time prayer that she has "coined" for the family..."Dear God, we thank you for today.  We thank you for our food and we pray that everyone gets better.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen!"
I love that she prays every time for "everyone to get better", because lets face it... we can all be better at something!
I can't wait to see what the year ahead brings.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAVERY LYNN!
