Christmas 2014

We celebrated Christmas this year in our new hometown of Odessa.  We didn't get to see family on Christmas day, but were able to spend the day with new friends and church family.  We went to look at the light display at one of the public parks.  Most of the family enjoyed it, but Olivia was not happy about having to ride in her car seat.

Beautiful Sunset on the way to Midland.

It was "Light Christmas" this year with the mini-tree and Little People manger scene.  We put the big tree and decorations in storage.  But all-in-all, we had a wonderful Christmas!

Waiting up for Santa and having a Christmas Eve slumber party in their nap mats on the floor.

Christmas Morning!!!
Evie woke up first and it almost got the best of her that I made her wait for Mavery and Daddy to wake up before opening presents.

MawMaw and PawPaw came on Saturday to visit and celebrate Christmas with us.  Along with them, they brought some SNOW! (although you can't see the flurries in the picture...)

Getting some snuggle time with the grandparents!

Love this smile!

Two months old and moving down the road...

Olivia turned two months old yesterday!  So, she got to celebrate her two-month birthday in her new hometown of Odessa.  Here is what we have been up to lately:

Olivia got to meet Santa at the church's Christmas Party.

The big sisters were in Houston helping Pops rake leaves.

We went with our friends to feed the Odessa ducks.

Both girls said they want an Elsa and Anna dress for Christmas this year.
Mavery has been promising for months that she would not cry for Santa this year.  And she didn't!!

Carousel Ride!

Bunk Beds!!

There's always time for an Ice Cream break.

First Sunday at Crossroads Fellowship.
The girls loved their new Sunday school classes.

Halloween 2014

I asked Evie what she wanted to be for Halloween this year. I honestly expected her to say Elsa or a ballerina rock star princess cheerleader. But to our (pleasant) surprise, she confidently replied, "a purple super hero". I gave her a few days to see if she would change her mind, but she stuck to the super hero theme.
So...on Saturday, Ocotber 18th (plenty of time before Halloween) I went to Hobby Lobby and got all stuff to create some sort of purple and yellow super hero costumes. I started on them at about 7:00pm Saturday night.

I finished the yellow costume and started on the purple one, intending to finish it Sunday. However, Miss Olivia decided to come early Sunday morning and delayed progress a bit.
But have no fear, they were finished in time and the dinamic duo was here to save the day! They were ready in time for Halloween!
Evie was super excited to wear her costume to school.

And so was Mavery!

Getting ready to do some Trick or Treating with Daddy, Mommy and Pops. They were slightly excited.

It was a fun Halloween. I was pleased with their costume choices. Now we just need to "finish off" all the candy!!

Visitors!

We have had some very special visitors in the last few weeks to come by and meet Miss Olivia. Just wanted to remember the special moments.  I didn't get pictures of everyone, but here are the highlights!

Aunt Sandy and Uncle Ron

Miss Bridget

The Hansens

The McClintocks

Abigail! And the Parks Crew!

Alison and the Grinsteads!

We have really enjoyed all the visits from wonderful friends and family!

Daddy's Favorite Dress

When Evie was born, we received this little lady bug dress.
It was always Daddy's favorite dress.

Then Mavery came along and looked just as cute in it!

THEN Olivia wore it on 10/26/2014 for her first visit to church to hear her Daddy preach.
Who knew this little number would cycle through three beautiful daughters.
Sweet Baby Girls!

Olivia's First Week at Home

We had a great first week home with Miss Olivia.  She is eating, sleeping, pooping and growing.  Just as she should!
We took her for her three day doctor's appointment and she weighed about 7lbs 8oz; just about 4 ounces above her birth weight.  Yay Olivia!

I love those squishy cheeks!

The girls really love their baby sister!

Mavery refers to Olivia as "my baby".  She is quite taken with her.

Silly girls!

We will have some fun times in the years to come!
