Just for Fun

What a pretty face!

We received a fun care package from our friends, the Parks.  Complete with nail polish and My Little Pony puzzles.  And yes, that is Mommy's hand sporting the Rock Star Glitter nail polish.

Silly Girls!
Olivia looks concerned in this picture.  Concerned that her two older sisters are so crazy!

Up close and personal.

She has become a pro at making spit bubbles.
Evie and Mavery get totally grossed out at all the baby slobber.

Evie's small group girls at church.  Looks like a fun bunch!

2015 SNOW

We got some snow last week.  And like all good native Texans, we run outside as soon as it's daylight, make a snowman, have a snowball fight, make snow angels, take 20 pictures, post them online and then declare that we are done with the snow until next winter!
Here's the view outside our window

...and we're done with snow until next winter!
(We'll see!)

All Fancied Up!

Evie and Mavery were playing in their room the other afternoon and when I went to check on them, this is what I found...
Two little girls playing make believe in their swim suits...in January...it was 28 degrees outside.  Too funny!  I asked Mavery what she was doing in this pose and she replied, "I'm being FANCY!"
That Mavery is a hoot.

We let her get her ears pierced a couple of weeks ago on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Midland.  We were at the mall and it was not crowded, so Mike asked her if she wanted her hears pierced and she confidently replied, "Yes, I am not scared."  So she hopped right up in the chair and waited for the sales clerk.

She chose blue flower earrings that match her eyes.

She's a spunky little thing!

3 Months Old

Olivia is 3 months old now.  She is a sweetie and she is growing up so fast.  She holds her head up very well and she is very alert, just as her sisters were at this age.  She loves to suck her thumb to put herself to sleep.  Unfortunately, the list of things that Olivia doesn't like is longer than the list of things she does like at this age.  However, I know that she is growing and she will soon be getting into trouble with her older sisters!
Olivia likes to be held.  She spends quite a bit of time in the Moby wrap during the day.  She sleeps from about 7:30pm to 5:00am.  She takes really good naps during the mornings, but then she saves her fussy (inconsolable screaming) time for the evening.  Olivia still does not like her carseat.  We are all counting the days that she learns to love car rides.
Evie and Mavery still think the world of Olivia.  Mavery tells everyone she meets that she has a baby sister named Olivia.  Evie is a champ and does her best to entertain Olivia when she is fussy.  We love our sweet girls and love watching them grow up!

Yeah for Three Months Old!

Going to School

Evie wrote a book about going to her new school.  It's even illustrated!  This is such an "Evie Morrow Thing" to write an 8 step procedure about starting a new school.  Here is a video of her reading it aloud.

In case you can't hear it very well, the eight steps include:
Go to School
Check in
Find a table
Eat lunch
Take a nap
Fold up your nap mat
Check Out
Go Home

I love watching this girl grow and learn!  Thank you to Mrs. Hansen for giving Evie the foundation she needs to learn how to read and write.

Welcome 2015

Who is ready for 2015??

We flew home from Houston on the 3rd.  The trip home proved to be almost more eventful than the trip to Houston.  Including a two and a half hour wait to check in at Hobby, a race through security and a sprint to the gate, where we were second to last on the plane.  Oh, and Evie had the flu.  Needless to say, it was good to be home.  Despite all the travel drama, the girls were awesome in the airport and on the plane.  Evie helped carry/push luggage in the line.  Mavery was a bit grumpy with all the people around.  Olivia snuggled down in the sling and thankfully stayed on mommy for the wait in line.  The girls enjoyed snacks and Frozen on the plane.

We arrived home Sunday and began getting the girls ready for school on Monday.  Evie made sure to get back packs, nap mats and lunch boxes ready for the big day.  She's such a planner....

Olivia decided to take a nap.  She has officially rejected the pacifier and fallen in love with her thumb.  What can I say?  She is able to find her thumb in the middle of the night and sleep all. night. long.

New Year's 2015

We started off New Year's Eve with snow, ice and a cancelled flight to Houston.  Our original plans were to fly out to Houston on New Years Eve to spend some time with the Morrow side.  The weather decided not to cooperate with our plan.  So, after being stuck inside for two days, we ventured out on New Year's Eve and walked around the Tractor Supply store across the street.
Wild and crazy, I KNOW!
We found some bird house kits for the girls to paint.

They had fun and enjoyed the craft time.

Olivia supervised the painting.

We were able to fly out on New Year's Day after being delayed almost 2 hours.
One infant + one 3 year old + one 5 year old + 4 hours at the airport = exhaustion.
We finally made it to Hobby and after a 45 minute car ride to the house with Olivia screaming the whole way... We. Were. Done.

The trip was fun.  We got to see family and enjoy the city for a few days.  But then Evie came down with the flu.  We have had quite the run with the flu this year.  First Mavery, then Evie.  I would like to say that I am ready for winter and the flu season to be over.
These sweet girls are always eager to help with baby Olivia.  They are also excited to start back to school next week.

And Daddy will be excited to get back to his new job.
Under the supervision of a new boss.
She's rather demanding at times...let me tell ya!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
