Christmas 2013 in Pictures...

…with added commentary.

Advent…looking forward to the Reason For the Season

Evie was the letters "L" and "K" in her preschool performance.  She did awesome.  And we're pretty sure that she was having the MOST fun on stage.

Evie also played the role of "grandchild" in the FBC Childrens Play "Hear the Call: A Duck Dynasty Christmas"

We played lots of dress-up.

Christmas Fun

Santa's Little Helpers

It's sometimes rather difficult to get a good shot of Mavery.
Evie, on the other hand, loves the camera.

Mavery still has a hard time not touching the tree.

10 more days until Christmas...

Santa 2013

While we were at the Winter Wonderland, we popped in to visit Santa.  Obviously, Evie thought it was great to see Santa.  She has never been afraid of Santa.  Mavery, on the other hand, thought it was terrifying.  She couldn't get away fast enough!
Even Santa had to come around after we were done and look at the pictures.  It was pretty funny.

Learning to be thankful...

This week the girls went back to preschool and brought home all of their Thanksgiving art projects from the previous week.  Evie brought home this really cute toilet paper roll turkey with her hand prints as the feathers.  The teachers were so sweet to go around and ask the kiddos what they are thankful for and write it on the "hand feathers".

It's hard to see what all is written on her feathers so I will interpret: Rainbows, Rainbow Dash, My Little Pony, My Family.  I'm so glad we made it in the "thankful list" and rank right up there with My Little Pony!
That Evie cracks me up!

Texas Ice Skating

This week we went to the Waco Winter Wonderland and went ICE SKATING! Who know that you could ice skate in 80 degree weather?!?! They had a faux ice skating rink set up where you use real ice skates and skate around on a plastic material type rink.  It was fun, but the girls did not last long.  Mommy cheated and wore little booties over my shoes so that I could pull Mavery around without her pulling me down.  Mawmaw was a trooper though, she and Evie made it two times around the rink!

There was also a train ride!

And that's all I got to say about that!
Peace out!

Florida Thanksgiving

We went to Florida this year for Thanksgiving with Grandma Susie, Pops, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Nate, Stuart and Drake.  It was a bit cold for Florida, but we had a fun time.

Evie trying to sport her beach attire.

We finally had to opt for jackets.  It was a bit chilly at sunset.

The sunset on the beach was beautiful!

Please let me drive!
