New Dress, Spaghetti and Cousin Drake

I made Evie a dress. It involved some "troubleshooting".

This was the "inspiration". A $2.00 shirt I picked up for her a while ago.

It looked easy enough to copy. This is what I ended up with. It doesn't really fit her and I had to rig up the straps to get them to fit over her head. But it was a fun little project.

Mommy Day Care

I've been staying home with my Mom for the past couple of months. She has me on a pretty rigorous routine:

We have Art Class.

Followed by Financial Planning.
On this day I practiced "Saving for College".

I'm pretty good at getting the coins in the Giraffe's Belly.
Quarters are the easiest!

Then Gym Class with Mr. Lion.

And finally, Science Class.
Here I am exploring the back porch.

I discovered a hole. Let me put my finger in it to make sure.

Yep, it's a hole.

Maybe we should add some water.

When I have a question, I raise my hand.

And I sit perfectly quiet and still just like this while Mommy is teaching.

Good, you shouldn't!
Because the truth is that I squirm and get into everything from the cabinets to the dishwasher to the trash and the toilet and everything in between. My favorite thing to do these days is to squeeeeeze my way between Mommy and the counter when she's washing dishes or cooking and stand on her feet. She LOVES it! And the best is when Daddy comes home and we get to wrestle on the floor and laugh and giggle.

Evie is growing up. Fast! And she's hard to catch on camera these days, so lately our photographic library has been reduced to the pictures I can capture on my phone. This first series I call, "The Blurr". Her new favorite pass time is pushing around an empty laundry basket. It's hard work, as you can see:

Summer Heat = Long Naps

This picture doesn't look like much, just a messy little girl in her high chair, but let me explain. She was eating zucchini. Evie has always been a good eater and I'm so very thankful for that, but she usually turns her nose up at most green veggies. But on this very evening, she scarfed down the garden veggies. We were proud of her!

Little Lady

My highchair turned into a "Spa Chair" this morning. Yes, Daddy is painting my toenails bright RED!

I had to eat a snack AND watch the Wiggles in the living room. Good thing my chair moves easily.

This is my friend Abigail. We went swimming in the back yard last week. I tried to steal her hat. It's just so cute!
