Fall Foto Fun!

These are just some fun shots from our random happenings around here...

We Love the Zoo

We had a great time visiting the zoo with our friends, the Howell family.  It was a chilly day so we had to bundle up - the animals seemed to enjoy the cool weather.

Mavery felt it necessary to clean the noses of some of the critters.
Here is Emma and I going for a ride.
Picture taking op... say cheese!
Roooooaaaaaaarrrrrrrr!
Emma!  Look out.
Cate and Emma's mommy and daddy took a lot better shots of our fun - take a look.

The Princess and the Pumpkin

On Thursday we went to treat night at mommy's work.  It was really fun. The girls got to dress up, play games and came home with way too much candy.

There are some funny things about this picture above:
  • Evie (who chose to be a princess over Buzz Lightyear) is standing like a  newly crowned Prom Queen.  She looks like she's about to give a teary-eyed speech, thanking everyone for the honor.
  • Mavery (bless her heart, I was not about to put her in a costume) can't think about anything except for the dum-dum she finagled from the trick-or-treat pumpkin candy holder.  I know what she's thinking in this picture, "Hmmm, I see more candy over there.  How can I get to it?  Oh wait! I can't because Mom has a death-grip on my arm making me stand here and take a picture next to THE PRINCESS!!!"
  • My arm on the left side of the picture shoving Mavery into Evie.  If they would just cooperate, I wouldn't have to go to such measures!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Port Aransas

We took a road trip down to the coast and stayed in Port Aransas.  It was a great time at the beach, out fishing and playing as a family.

"there were never such devoted sisters..."

We do everything together...
Swim, save the universe, shop, bathe and eat.

A Foggy Morning

This morning Evie and Mike walked outside with me to the car.
Evie walks out the door and says in a surprised tone, “Daddy, it’s SNOWING?!?!”
“No baby.  Sorry, that’s just fog.”

She was pretty excited there for a moment.
How do you explain “fog” to a three year old?
