Ode to Umbrella

Let me tell you a little something about myself...

I love umbrellas... and when I say love, I mean I LOVE Umbrellas. Grama Susie and I had a great time with our umbrellas and we could have kept playing with them for hours!

Four Months Old

Hey Guys! I'm four months old! Look at me hold my head up high. I can even roll from my tummy to my back!

I have also found something. Can you guess what??

Yep, It's my thumb. I love it! I get all snuggled down in my swing, suck my thumb and hold Mr. Froggie. I can be quite content here for a while...sometimes...

I call this "Multi-tasking"

Mommy and Evie moved my crib mattress down a bit and put some fun toys in there to keep me entertained. Big sister was kind enough to join me and show me the ropes...

Silly Girls

Evie likes to pretend she's taking a nap when I change Mavery on the bed. Yesterday she decided that baby sister needed to lay next to her and nap too. Mavery thought it was fun at first...
The second photo was taken at 7:00pm last night. And Mavery is happy and smiling!! Not usually the case from 7-9pm at the Morrow House. Yeah! Hopefully we are getting out of the evening fussy phase. :) Now, if we could just learn to love our car seat...

Evie has a book titled "Little Mommy". She has it memorized and it's adorable when she "reads" it to us. This made me think of it.
Next task is brushing that poor dolly's hair!

Girl Talk

Evie and Mavery were having a grand old time talking it up while I was making dinner the other day. Chatter, chatter, chatter.... We love it!

First Day of Preschool and Potty Training Boot Camp

Evie had her first day of preschool today. Wow, you would have thought she was going off to college with two gushing parents like Mike and I. She's just getting too big, to fast! She will go to school (Mother's Day Out) for three days a week at our church. She has such wonderful teachers and her friends are all there so I know she will really enjoy it.

Prior to her preschool adventures, we had about three weeks of Potty Training Boot Camp. Let's just say that between a two month old and a two year old in potty training...It's been REAL messy around here. Evie is getting the hang of the big girl panties, though. She still sleeps in a diaper and I'm sending her to school in disposable training pants for the first couple of weeks just so that the teachers won't have to clean up yucky accidents. But I think she will do well with it at school because she loves using the "little potties" at church. Ahh, the simple things that please little ones... Here is Evie's first day of school in pictures:

Mavery Is Two Months Old

Hi There! I'm two whole months old! Yikes!

Here lately I have been doin' some eating, sleeping, pooping, smiling, cooing, kicking and crying. (Hey, I'm two months old, what did you expect??)

I really really like to be held and rocked. I like to be on my tummy. I LOVE watching my big sister dance around and be silly and give me kisses. I like to look at things that are shiny and to watch the ceiling fan go round and round.

I don't like to be put down, and I don't like my car seat. But other than that I'm pretty easy goin'.

Stay tuned for a big sister potty training update in the near future. But for now, enjoy the photos.

A Great Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend around the Morrow household. It was almost a normal weekend, as normal as can be with a two month old anyway. On Saturday we all got up early (surprise, surprise) and by noon had the grass cut, the grocery shopping done and put away, Mike grilled lunch and dinner and the girls were down for naps. Nice! After their naps we hung out around the house and then ended the day with our good friends, the Parks, and met for ice cream. Sunday was church, lunch, naps and VBS kick-off. Here's a few fun shots of the girls...

Evie has been working on potty training. We are making some progress. FINALLY!!
